Teaching regular pastel classes in Westbrook, ME, as well as plein air and studio workshops around the country and internationally, Jacob is a signature juried member of the Pastel Society of America and a professional artist member of the Copley Society in Boston.ĭavid, TWSA (Transparent Watercolor Society of America), is a fine artist, illustrator, and art instructor. Traveling and studying with several incredible pastel artists that year throughout the American West, he began entering and being accepted into several national shows including IAPS, Pastel Society of the West Coast, Northwest Pastel Society, Pastel Painters of Maine, and Pastel Painter Society of Cape Cod.Ĭurrently working as a naturopathic doctor in Scarborough, ME, much of his off time is devoted to art. So began his journey of capturing the beauty of the natural world with pastels. Remembering as a kid staying up until midnight drawing it wasn’t until 2011 that his love of art and nature found each other when he took a leave of absence from Naturopathic Medical School to spend time with family and pursue art. Jacob has been an artist his entire life.
